Beta 6 is now available. We’ve spent a lot of time testing importing favorites, and we believe it’s significantly better. It’s also fixed the change that YouTube made that broke it, which means you can safely enable AutoSync again. In the future, we’ll be including a system where Tubular will automatically download new instructions for getting video data from our server, similar to antivirus programs automatically getting new virus definitions. That way, whenever something breaks, we can publish a simple change that will automatically get assimilated into your client without any interaction needed.
We’ve fixed some other bugs as well. We fixed a bug that prevented you from changing categories while a video was loading, which is great news. We stopped a pretty bad bug that could make playback cause the app to hang. Also, we’ve plugged up some memory leaks that were scattered about. Finally, we’ve fixed some bugs that caused Tubular to just randomly crash for seemingly no reason.

at 1:28 am on May 6, 2007,Give up with the mucking about with software update that forces you to repeatedly download 9 megs of “update” and then fails every single time. Just put the DMG on the website for download! Very frustrating and inches away from being zapped from my hard drive. Poor performance, crashes, lockups and now I can’t even update.
So far, good concept, not so well executed.

I apparently pre-ordered tubular through MacZOT back in December sometime (at least that’s when I got the email) - so how’s that coming. What’s the status on actually getting tubular?
