We’ve discovered some bugs that happen among everyone. Here’s a quick list of the biggest issues that we are aware of:
- You cannot search twice
Tubular does not save custom window size- Explicit videos can crash Tubular
Watching a video will cause the sidebar on the left to stop working
We’re working on resolving those issues as quickly as possible. We’ll push out new builds as soon as we can.

at 11:21 am on December 28, 2006,Please allow me one question then: why did you release a software (private beta, but released nontheless) that does not do the most basic tasks it it expected to do? Right now Tubular is as useful as a text editor that can edit text, but only one line. That can save but not what you have written. That will freeze the menu after entering some text.
Absolutely no one needs this at the current stage.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see a *working* version of Tubular, even when it takes 3 months more of development, heck, even 6 months would be okay as long as it works as it should be. But please refrain from announcing something before you have completed it. That way you are heading straight for disappointment.

at 1:40 pm on December 28, 2006,the sidebar does work after watching a video. you just have to click on a video for it to refresh. Hopefully this will happen automatically.

at 3:07 pm on December 28, 2006,Playback within the app doesn’t work for me (can’t get freakin’ Flash to install), I get a message that I need to turn on javascript (don’t remember turning it off, but there’s no way to turn it on), the interface is very rough, and so on.
BUT!!! You have to give Steve credit for finally getting this thing released. He’s made three updates to the app in the first day of release (small fixes to be sure but you can tell he’s working round the clock).
Frankly, I can be a bit forgiving as long as the developer stays on the ball and is constantly updating and polishing the program even if we’re off to a rough start. Tagging this app 0.9.x seems a bit ambitious given what we’ve been handed but I think it’ll grow into a nice app. Hopefully before winter break ends!
Keep going Steve, I know you’ve got the talent to make this app stand out.

at 3:20 pm on December 28, 2006,Labrat, I called it a 0.9.x because, quite frankly, I didn’t know what else to call it.
It’s not really a release candidate, so it’s not really appropriate to call it a 1.0rc1, but it’s almost to the point of being a release candidate, so I felt calling it a 0.9 was appropriate.
But at the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter what it’s called until we get to 1.0.
