Tubular’s development is coming close to 1.0. As many of you have noted, both with your comments and emails, you’re all very interested in getting your hands on this as quickly as possible. To that end, we will be releasing a private beta exclusively for people who preordered. And it will be coming very soon - before Christmas.
Aside from that, if you have multiple preorders (if you bought Tubular here and in the GiftZOT), you can give one of your licenses to another person (unfortunately, we cannot do refunds). If this affects you, please send us an email by clicking the Contact button at the top of this page with the email you used for either your MacZOT purchase or your purchase on this site.Finished reading? at 10:58 pm on December 25, 2006,Big disappointment. I understand pre-selling your application and drumming up funds for development costs. I even understand that good things take time. But if you say something will be ready by a certain time, I seriously think it’s only fair to expect something…anything, as long it is has partial functionality. After all, that’s why it’s called a beta. No one here is expecting the beta to be the ultimate final product and entirely bug free. If it was that easy everyone would be developing apps.
Most applications people try out before purchasing. what your fans here are requesting, access to a beta of the application, is fair considering that we have purchased something on nothing other than screenshots. We aren’t even asking for our money back.
So considering the progression of things around here, would you please at the very least post some sort of update or perhaps just an email to your early purchasers keeping them inform as to the progress.
Thanks for your hard work. We eagerly await whatever it is that you have in the works.

at 4:29 am on December 26, 2006,Ditto K. I understand that it’s hard to write software and everything, but a promise is a promise. When you make yourself a deadline, you’ve got to keep it.
I’m looking forward to Tubular, and I know I’ll have it eventually, so I’m not really all that disappointed.

at 8:13 am on December 26, 2006,I am very dissapointed. I prepaid for the software and then they announce a beta for the people who prepaid. They miss the deadline that they set. Doing some furthur reading on the blog i see this is not the only deadline they have failed to meet. I am dissapointed but i half expected it. I know it takes time to develop software but a deadline is a deadline. Don’t announce something you cannot hit because you will have several angry customers.
I am beginning to think he took the money earned from the pre-buy and went on holliday break. Maybe this was just a gimmick to get the extra money they needed to make it home for the hollidays?
